Our first fantastic volcanoes!

Look at these marvellous model volcanoes brought in for creative homework. I'm sure we will see a few more before long and as promised we will watch them erupt at the end of term!

Thank you to Mrs Evans who was so impressed with the poetry reciting in year 3/4 that she brought in a gift for all the children!

Computing - After School Family Session

Thank you to everyone who came to our after school drop in session after school.

It was great to showcase our work on the class blog and the Lend Me Your Literacy website and also to give an insight into some of the iPad Apps we use in class.

Poetry recital

Over the past 2 weeks (following a literacy unit in class) children have been learning a poem to read in front of the class. All children were given the choice to recite independently or in a group. Well done to everyone!

Photos to follow...

Burns Day 2015

This afternoon we had a Scottish themed afternoon and celebrated 'Burns Day.

The children learnt how to do the highland fling.

We recited Scottish poetry (see next blog post for photos) and had a treat of shortbread and Irn Bru. Mrs Evans even brought in haggis for us to try!
