Merry Christmas!!!

I would like to say thank you to all children in y3/4 for their continued hard-work and enthusiasm throughout the first term. Thanks must also go to parents, for the fantastic support and effort put in to homework tasks and for supporting your child with any additional activities such as finding examples of maths, looking for QR codes and blogging!

Finally, I was overwhelmed by the very generous gifts and cards I received - thank you very, very much!

Lucky

We let Lucky run around in her ball whilst Mrs Lynchey cleaned out the cage in preparation for her going on an extra long Christmas sleepover with one of the children. As always, this is drawn out of a hat (or in our case a feely bag) to make sure it is fair.

Thank you to everyone who returned their slip to be a pet carer. A new name will be picked out each Friday next term, so hopefully everyone will get a chance!

Estimation Station #12

Congratulations to the 2 lucky winners who were both 2 away from the actual number of marshmallow snowmen (32) in the Christmas special estimation station.

Clowning Around! :-)

Wow!! Miss Burns, our teaching assistant, sure is talented! Here she is during golden time, on the last day of term, teaching some boys how to juggle.

Autumn 2 half-Term Hero

The winner of our class half term heroes award for autumn 2 was nominated for "Always being a good friend and playing with me in the playground!".

Well done!

Biscuit Bonanza!

Another act of kindness in class!

These girls baked 80 biscuits and brought them in to share with the rest of the children and staff. They were delicious!!!

Whole School Half-Term Heroes

Congratulations to all the winners of the whole school 'Half Term Heroes' award.

Christmas Assembly

At the whole school Christmas assembly, we shared our etwinning Christmas Card Exchange Project with the rest of the school.

Christmas Crafts

Christmas Cards from Europe!!!

We are so pleased to have received 28 cards from Europe! The exact amount needed for everyone in the class to take one home!

This has been a really good project and we would like to thank all of our partner schools!

A Christmas Sing-A-Long

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mr. Bradshaw who came into class to sing Christmas Songs with us. He is an amazing guitarist!

More exciting news...

Mrs Evans has, of course, given her consent so look out for our Christmas Jumper picture on the Newsround website over the Christmas break.

Augmented Reality!

We had a very exciting ICT lesson today using iPads and the fantastic app 'Second Sight'. This is an augmented reality app that quite literally brings learning to life!!

First we created Christmas themed picture scenes...

We added photographs and special scannable codes (similar to QR codes!) to the pictures...

Then we used the iPads to do this...
