Sharing our work with Y6!

We visited Mrs Ingham and the year 6 children to share our instruction texts that we created for them.
They were an amazing audience! They listened carefully and asked lots of questions.

The Bushtucker Trial Maths Challenge

Children enjoyed a challenging maths problem solving lesson based on the reality TV show 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'.

Thank you!

The children made lovely thank you cards and we bought a box of chocolates to give to the Toby Carvery staff for our visit to 'Chef School'.

Wild Berry Crumble

Yum Yum! Thank you for making crumble for your homework and bringing it in to share with the class. It was delicious!! :-)

Lego Instructions

Inspired by 'The Literacy Shed' a website providing educational animations and lesson resources, the photographs show an instruction lesson to complete the literacy unit.

First children watched a short animation based on the history and creation of Lego.

They were then given 20 minutes to independently create any Lego model they wanted. They were then asked to write short instructions card for someone else to follow and make.

Chef School at Toby Carvery

This was a wonderful trip to the Toby Carvery in Greenmount! We were very grateful for being allowed to go and learn about healthy eating and 5 a-day. We were treated to a delicious roast dinner too!

Thank you to Liam and the rest of the staff at Toby for inviting us and also to all the parent helpers who accompanied us.
