A 'dead' good art lesson!
This week children have been learning about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii. In a rather eerie art lesson children were given the task of sketching bodies! In pairs they took turns posing and drawing and next week they will make models of their sketches using clay. Look at the picture at the bottom of the page of the visitor site in Pompeii - this is what we will be making a model of.

Earthquake!!
This proves Natural Disasters aren't always in far away places!! Thank you for bringing in this BBC news report detailing an earthquake that happened last night in the Midlands.
I promise this was real...I did NOT fake an earthquake with an iPad App!! :-)

Chess club
