Science - Exploring Rocks

We enjoyed a practical science lesson with fun and informative hands-on lessons! We were learning about different types of rocks and their properties. The most popular section was definately the 'excavation' activity. In order for children to appreciate how difficult it is to extract rocks and minerals from the earth they had to use a toothpick to extract chic chips from a cookie! :-)
